Hindsight should always be twenty-twenty, yes? Then how come I keep running. (Not a question.) I think I should stop blaming my relationship/friendship problems on my constant battle with time and my severe case of chronic dissatisfaction. Suck it up, sister. I guess sometimes small and disappointed are the only ways to feel.

First came the ballad. But now (quite literally), the epilogue, in which I prevail:

Another bicycle added to the family. Orchid colored and lugged. With the same birth year as me, too. Aye, she's such a little gem.

Finals are blowing my mind. I've resorted to napping in the sculpture building between classes(on breaks)(when I feel like it). Remember when going to class was optional and there was always ample amounts of sleep to be had?

Now, Nicholas and I just play dress up (or down) for MB's photo shoots on school nights to pass the time that should be spent on painting or finishing pieces. I'm pretty glad we're neighbors.

I feel happy. Happier. Happy in different ways.

M.B. and I saw (slash-lurked hard on) Vincent Gallo in Wasteland today. He's such a dreamboat, I'm talkin' in my top ten. Longstoryshort, we met him and he told me I had pretty hair! Aka we're dating now.

My wheelset is almost ready! The guy at American Cyclery proposed a sweet little deal today. He would build my wheelset and give me a pretty nice discount on the parts if I help him put together this sculpture he's been thinking about for a while, including welding and other various metal shop work (which I just so happen to be highly skilled at).

So yeah, today was awesome. And I'm only going to update when awesome things happen to me that everyone should get jealous about, cause you know, that's what everyone else does, right?

A couple things:
-Does anyone know anything about getting dual citizenship? I'm trying to get my Dutch citizenship so I can go to grad school and work in Europe with out having to worry about getting visa's and shit. I guess I really haven't done any extensive research, but I cannot seem find anything on it and basically I just want someone to tell me what to do so I don't have to put any effort into it.

-Romance is watching the guy I'm crushin' on take needle nose pliers and pull a two-inch long metal shard out of my skin from a sculpture assembly gone wrong. Borderline awesome. Well, you know minus all that blood and getting metal in me and shit.

-Cinco de Mayo was pretty entertaining, biked it with Jessie and Isabella to some party in the Mission, they had a cute band and a lot of people and a huge projector projecting these absurd movies/images outside on this big white wall, seriously big. Like three or four stories high, big. Drank copious amounts of whiskey, sans chaser/mixer/conscience. Almost got our bikes stolen. Drunkenly followed some boys to Dolores Park, saw some pretty beautiful bikes. Pff, whatever if they were track bikes. I rep my ten-speed. Steel is real, man. Fell off a skateboard. Fell off my bike. Fell in love. Road all the way back home at 5:30am and slept. Rage.

-This semester is coming to a close, which means Spring Show. And then its summer and Canada and Nick Waterhouse and the Missionaries and warm and bikes galore! Yeah, fuckin' summmerrrrr. (Not to metion the fact that its midnight and seventy-five degrees out! I'm sleepin with my window open, aww yeah.)

These last couple weeks are ones that will go down in the books as some of the greatest to date. Most notable; the live music. Sebadoh, Mountain Goats, Mirah, Dosh, Thee More Shallows.

Finally getting acknowledgment from a gallery for one of my raku wall pieces! I'll let you know when it's up and ready for you to go visit.

Also, equally as important: Samantha has become my most trusted companion for substance abuse, laughter, good music and weekend road trips. She is a golden child with the appetite for whiskey to prove it.

Speaking of weekend road trips. This last one clocks in as the best of 2007 thus far. A not-so-quick run down of my weekend: Friday night Mountain Goats show at Bottom of the Hill, too incredible for words, electric (accompanied by drums) version of Going to Georgia, insane energy, just a beautiful performance and I can say that with the conviction of a girl who's seen numberous other shows over the years, driving to SLO and back in two days time to see the Mountain Goats again, proving my lust and groupie patriotism by kissing said Mountain Goat (however, not before spiting out some sort of incoherent babble and apologizing profusely for acting so childish), being faaar too drunk to stand-up straight or ride a fixed gear built for a boy considerably taller than me, too much bay-area hip hop, Brain (twice!), smoking about twelve cigarettes in one day (never again), polishing off a bottle of Makers Mark and being branded one of two road warrior dictators.

Well, finals week here and I'm leaving for Hawaii on Friday for a week. Pretty stoked on that. Also my mom just told me she booked a hour long massage for me. Aww yeah. Upon returning, I'll be welcoming my little sunshine, Brienne, to the city. Hell yaaah.

I guess I'll post some pictures from the last couple months cause I know that's really what you assholes want.

I went yesterday evening with Samantha and Isabella to see my good buddy Bill Clinton speak at a rally about Prop 87. And if that wasn't enough to make have a heart attack from happiness, we show up to hear him speak and Stephen Jenkins from Third Eye Blind is opening, OPENING for Bill. AND he finished the set with "Semi-Charmed Life". Next, Bonnie Raitt comes out and covers Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth". And then Eva Longoria came out to speak, but she's a stupid bitch, so that doesn't really get any amazing credit. Bill's speech was incredible, the crowd was beautiful, and it didn't rain. Hands down one of the top five best days of my life.

Even if you don't back the democratic party, you still have to give it up to them for putting together something so perfectly soaked in the 90's I thought I was going to die.

Kind of ironic how I leave San Francisco for the weekend and the 6.6 earthquake hits Honolulu instead. I'm stuck here until Wednesday afternoon because my flight got cancelled and pretty much just that Hawaii is like a third world country. To make this visit even less enjoyable my parents are remodeling the kitchen and the weather is cloudy, humid, rainy and about ninety-five degrees. Gross. Complain, complain, complain.

I talked to Nick while he was on his way to the airport this morning. It was probably our last phone conversation for a while. I did cry some baby tears but I couldn't help it. One year in England! That's a long time without Nick living in the same city as me. Luckily only four months until I make the twelve-hour (business class) journey over there to visit him. Thank-you-very-much-mom-and-pop. Eh. Bye Nick Waterhouse, take care of yourself and see you in January.

All that mushy shit aside, my classes are great. My longest day (8:30a to 6:30p) happens to be my favorite day. Art history first, then sculpture last. I'm totally enthralled with my sculpture teacher. He's got this amazing energy about him and I just completely understand him. It's truly a blessing to have good teachers. Teachers can really make or break your education and that's what I love about my school, all the teachers really incredible. Incredible artists as well as professors.

Apart from having this little cold I've picked up, things are going rather well. Great friends, awesome apartment, amazing boy, killer classes. It also helps that the weather lately has been beautiful. The city is almost perfect in September and October. There's this calm warmness, the Indian summer kicks in and the colors of the sky at dusk are so pretty. I love fall.

Oh and if anyone wants to go see Band Of Horses with Chad VanGaalen, you should buy tickets before they sell out. They are playing on the 4th at the Fillmore. I guess that's all. Take care people.

Radiohead was fucking beatiful.

My feet were swollen from standing up so long.

Well, well. Three stitches (one in my arm, two in my hand), one bandage tan, and three days out of the water later and I'm good to go. I've still got the stitches for another couple days. But no more bruised ego. Well, maybe a little. But hey, you know what they say. Go big or go home (with inch deep cuts?).

Totally awesome news from a couple of my favorite boys back on the mainland. Roadtrip up to Seattle for the Murder City Devils reunion show. Oh man, it's going to be insane. Whiskey, sleeping bags, and a shit load of adventures. I'm pretty amped. (Oh and ps. Ashley, we'll be stopping a night in Portland. Boo yah.)

Apartment hunting is going pretty well. I found this awesome place on Haight and Divisidaro, except its a six (maybe seven) bedroom, so we might need to find a couple other people. Whatever, I'm not too worried. Anyway, I'll post pictures from my last couple of days in San Francisco (including the pictures from Nick and Kevin's show.) and from here when I get back.

This last weekend and the weekend before that were fantastic.
The weekend before last was Ryan's 4-day birthday bash.
Pretty much the only memories I have are via pictures.
So I'll post them now.

Tuesday Hellogoodbye was up here for a show.
It was really nice seeing all the boys.
I miss them a lot, a lot.
And plus, I got to dance on stage at the Fillmore.
Which was incredible.
So many amazing people have performed there.
It's hallowed ground man.

Classes are good, as they should be.
I'm pretty happy about how everything is panning out right now.
Oh and it snowed today!
